Mandalorians are ostensibly a part of the military, as they are all warriors and soldiers. Many Mandalorians, after passing the verd'goten('warrior's birth') tests to be considered an adult, never pick up a weapon in anger, except perhaps to hunt wild game, and spend the rest of their lives working their day profession.
However, when the Mand'alor(or on a smaller level, the individual's clan leader) calls for it, Mandalorians can instantly band together to form an army, groups of armies, or more rarely, a Crusade, in which the whole of Mandalorian society goes to war.
Military ranks follow in the standard protocol of most armies in the wider galaxy.
They are as follows, from lowest rank to highest.

How I learned to stop worrying and love the alt codes
With the recent name issues, I've noticed lots of alternative characters being used in names. They look like a regular character but with an accent on top. I shied away from them, but then finally gave in to the dark side of the font and used them in an alt character's name that was taken. So, I decided to figure them out (because I couldn't) this morning and here's what I learned:
How to Use Alt Codes
Alt codes are used by pressing the "Alt" key on your keyboard and then while you're holding it down pressing a key combination on the key pad of your keyboard. It MUST be the key pad not the number keys above your letter keys.

A short event thrown together by one of the mandalorian clans within the alliance of three banners. A night of adventure RP starting on Tatooine at Outpost Zaroshe in the Dune Sea. There the clans will rally together to track and hunt the demon of the dunes known as Trapjaw. All mandalorian roleplayers welcome to attend the hunt, even if you are not a member of clan kilgar. This will be our first official event as a united mandalorian roleplayers group, within the ebon hawke roleplay community.
Where: Tatooine, Outpost Zaroshe
When: December 21st, 2012. 8:00pm EST.

Ostilio stood in an old abandoned hanger on the fleet with two like minded individuals before him. Both female warriors, clad in thick beskar plating, one to his left and one to his right. Their meeting was in secret and of great importance, the discussion of an alliance of clans brought the three mandalorian chieftens together. Sure all mandalorians were united under the will of Mand'alor...and more so the Resol'nare or six acts that bound them together... but not all clans worked together, the reputation of the mandalorians only recently recovered from the mandalorian wars. Not their eventual defeat, but their fall from honor. Forsaking the old ways of their ancestors and becoming butchers, and thieves. Many clans were still stuck in the ways of the neo-crusaders, forsaking honor to pillage, loot, and kill all in their path, clans that thirsted for another galactic crusade.

Name of Event: The Milion Credit Scavenger's Classic
What is it: An in-game scavenger hunt event
Prizes: 1st place: 1,000,000 credits; 2nd place: 500,000 credits; 3rd place: 250,000 credits.
There will also be many random prize draws of items such as credits, cartel packs and cartel items, biochem pharmaceuticals, "purple" armour and more! All players who participate in the scavenger hunt, regardless of placing, are eligible for the random prize draws. (Thanks to Trixie and Ostilio for prize support!) Participants do not need to be present on Tuesday, December 18, 2012. We will mail your prize to you if you win something and can't attend the after-party.

I would like to say sorry if I have been or seemed to be overly aggressive or rude when it comes to RP. Either I'm mildly teasing a person who I know is on their way to an RP session, or going a little too far when there is a miscommunication. I would like you to send me a tell if you see me as doing such. I can't fix anything if I don't know there is a problem. Next time, don't just tell a person, who then tells me three weeks later. By then the damage is already done. Still, I would love to have more RP opportunities, even repair what was lost.

I double-checked the coordinates on my holopad. The problem with abandoned warehouses was that they were all quite similar; they were big, run-down, surrounded by garbage and lacking in clear signage. The global positioning system suggested that the physical location in front of me was a match.
I didn't have a plan, largely because I didn't really know what I was doing here. Still, if I was going to find Jasaar, this was the only vague lead that I had.
I climbed over some metal garbage and barrels until I came to a clear path leading to the door. I was not an engineering expert, but even I could tell that this was this building needed some help. It looked like a giant box that had been used as the ball in an aggressive kickball game.

The Official Project Invicta Operations Group
Okay, so we've had quite a lot of people interested in running Operations within the guild, so let's get organized.
We're going to need 8 players - 2 tanks, 2 healers, and 4 DPS. It'd be nice to get the same 8 together so that we can all practice and learn/fail together and slowly get the hang of everything.
I don't want this to be exclusionary, however, so we may need to setup some type of rotation. We'll cross that bridge when we get there.
Requirements: Must be level 50 (obviously), and you should have at least the Daily/Tionese level gear. That means purple (50) or (51) in most if not all your gear. Doing these Ops should get you into pretty good gear quickly, but we can help out with Dailies and HM FP's if it's needed.
So, please reply if you're interested and I'll update the roster accordingly.

Tuesday Night Expedition and Hunt - Hoth

What the Hoth?
The expedition will be visiting Hoth on Tuesday, July 10th. We will be getting the datacrons and dealing with any elites that we come across. We will also be looking at taking down the boss Snowblind, if he's around.
Snowblind is a challenging boss that involves the expedition's first tactical fight. As such, anyone who has a character that is level 40-50 that can at least come help take down this boss would be appreciated (we usually try to take down the boss first thing in the evening if it's around) and if not we keep checking back, so people are welcome to stay on stand-by if they want do that. However, all levels are welcome to come to Hoth.
The really good news is that ALL level characters (who have a ship) can come to Hoth to join in the fun. I tried it with my level 19 alt and she didn't have any problems getting to the Hoth planet surface. (I mention this because we had issues with that back on Quesh.)
